Baylor offers Arlington Bowie DT
According to Bill Parcells and his late mentor George Young, there are only a finite number of genuinely athletic big men on earth. Otherwise known as the "Planet Theory," the second part of their battle-tested personnel truism is that when a team gets a chance to acquire one of these rare specimens, their only option is to pounce.
Although any team - at any level - can always use another big man in the middle, Baylor's need for a dominant defensive tackle in the years to come is as glaring as any on Brian Norwood's up-and-coming defense. With the future departures of Phil Taylor, Trey Bryant, and other in sight, the recent offer given to Diamonte Wheeler becomes all the more important, because at 6-foot-3, 270 pounds and gaining, the Arlington Bowie defensive tackle is just the type of anomaly the Bears defense could put to use in the near future.
