Texas RB grabs Missouri offer
Entering this past offseason, it was common knowledge that Missouri had a depth problem in the backfield. Spring practices saw returning starter Derrick Washington limited as he recovered from knee surgery, leaving DeVion Moore as the only scholarship back on the roster. Missouri coaches were concerned enough to move former safety Gilbert Moye to running back to provide more options in the backfield.
In this recruiting class, the Tigers seem to be making running back one of their top priorities. For the 2009 class, Missouri only offered six tailbacks; in the 2010 class, the Tigers have already offered six backs this early in the process.
The sixth offer went out yesterday to Aldine (TX) RB Josh Huff. Huff is a 5-10, 185-lb running back from Nimitz High School who Missouri coaches offered because of his explosiveness.
