A&M offers new Skyline linebacker
Last year, Texas A&M was the first program to offer Dallas Skyline linebacker Corey Nelson who was coming off an All-State season as a defensive end. The Aggies were also the first to offer linebacker Domonique Patterson last fall after he moved from running back for Skyline. Patterson committed to the Aggies in the spring.
Now, the Aggies have struck first again with the Class 5A program in the Metroplex with an offer to talented 2011 linebacker Anthony Wallace. The A&M coaching staff came by en masse on Thursday to see 2010 prospects like Patterson and Nelson, but left equally impressed with Wallace.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Wallace has verbal scholarship offers from Texas A&M and Kansas and is receiving interest from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, USC and Texas. Players in the class of 2011 cannot be officially offered a scholarship until Sept. 1, 2009.
