We tend to remember the firsts in our lives - first loves, first cars, first games at a major-league ballpark. Nothing can recapture the wonder of those seminal moments, no matter how many times they occur afterward.

And so Tony Jones will always have a soft spot for Northwestern, the first school to offer him a scholarship.
