Gators offer four-star DE
Over the last few weeks Dominique Easley has watched his stock rise as fast as any prospect in the nation.
In early February the 6-foot-3, 258-pound defensive end held just two offers. When coaches began to get a glimpse of his highlight tape from his junior year his stock skyrocketed.
He recently picked up one of his biggest offers yet, when the defending national champions extended a scholarship.
"Florida offered me," Easley said. "They verbally offered me last week."
Steve Addazio, the Gators' new offensive coordinator, is recruiting Easley for Florida. He has done a good job of painting a positive image of the program to the talented New Yorker.
"When I went down there they loved me," he continued. "I think it was April 11 when I was there. It was good. I liked everything about it."
Easley said he doesn't have any plans to visit other schools in the near future.
"I probably will for official visits, but I don't know when yet."
He went on to say that he will likely narrow his list at some point during the summer or early in his senior season at Staten Island (N.Y.) Curtis.
