Chance Carter hoped to have his college decision sealed during the spring. That still might happen, but the 6-foot-4, 235-pound defensive lineman from Evanston, Ill., has some work to do before making that choice. Last week Carter took another step in that process when he visited South Bend to check out Notre Dame's new defensive line coaching tandem.
