KU headed back to the Sweet 16
Minneapolis - Following KU's 60-43 victory over Dayton on Sunday, Cole Aldrich made the small trip from the interview room inside the Metrodome to the Kansas locker room. Once inside, the 6-foot-11, 245-pound center from Bloomington, Minn., was surrounded by a large group of media wanting to talk about his performance against the Flyers. In-case you haven't heard, Aldrich recorded the first "official" triple-double in school history on Sunday. In scoring 13-points, grabbing 20-pound and swatting 10 shots, the Minnesota native helped his team advance to the Sweet 16.
Playing in-front of family and friends on Sunday, Aldrich didn't disappoint. He scored the first six-points of the game for Kansas. Furthermore, he was downright nasty on the defensive end of the court and refused to let any player from Dayton enter the paint area.
