Bulldogs grab Whitley's signature
Earlier this summer, Jackson (Miss.) Provine's Nickoe Whitley made his pledge to Mississippi State.
After tearing two ligaments in his knee during the second game of the season, national signing day was something that the three-star athlete has been looking forward to more than anything.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder is being recruited to replace three seniors at safety.
"They recruited me as a safety, but said they could use me in several different ways," Whitley said. "I will play safety, corner, wide receiver, return kicks, it doesn't matter to me. I will do whatever the coaches need me to do. I will do whatever makes the team better and makes me a better player. I am not one of these guys that has to play a certain position or I'm not coming to your school."
