Sooners Hosting Rising Star
While the name Jarrett Brown may have snuck up on a lot of folks, it certainly didn't catch the Oklahoma coaching staff off guard as the 6-foot-4, 242-pound pass rusher has been hearing from Brent Venables, Chris Wilson, and even Bob Stoops for quite some time now and apparently the Arlington (Texas) Bowie star has taken a shine to what he has heard.
"I've been hearing from Oklahoma for a while now, I'd say they just offered me a few weeks ago though," Brown said. "I've been talking to coach Venables, coach Wilson, and coach Stoops.
"I liked talking to coach Stoops. We talked for a minute man and I enjoyed talking to him."
While many around the country love the talent that Oklahoma currently possesses at defensive end, both of the experienced variety and with talented redshirt freshman like R.J. Washington and David King it seems the Sooners still have big hopes for the talented pass-rusher.
