It didn't take Alliance (Neb.) offensive tackle Brodrick Nickens long to decide where he wanted to further his education in 2009.

Though he was offered scholarships by a couple of smaller schools, the 6-foot-6, 285-pound big man determined that the opportunity to compete for the home-state Cornhuskers was just too good to pass up.
