Jackson enjoys experience in Aggieland
Missouri City Hightower has consistently sent top prospects to Division I programs, but it wasn't until this year that the talent truly showed up on the field for the Hurricanes. The Houston-area program made a run to the Class 5A-Division Texas state title game. Their defense was the main catalyst for their postseason success.
One of the stalwarts of that defense was junior linebacker Harvey Jackson. Before this past Saturday's junior day, he was not quite sure what he thought of Texas A&M. After his visit to College Station, however, Jackson saw enough to leave with a favorable impression.
"I thought it went good; I liked the whole experience," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound defender. "The coaches were all interested in the players personally, which was nice."
Jackson said he spent a good deal of time with A&M defensive backs coach Van Malone, his area recruiter, and talked about both on- and off-the-field issues.
