Brian Price makes them pay
Bruin sophomore defensive tackle Brian Price had an outstanding first game against Tennessee. Price showed the nation what Bruin fans have known for a long time, that "The Beast" is a beast and that his name should be mentioned among the best defensive tackles that college football has to offer. BruinBlitz.com was able to get a moment with Price after a recent practice.
BruinBlitz.com: Brian what does having a full training camp under your belt before playing a game?
Price: "It made a big difference. I'm in better shape now and I know all the plays. I created a relationship all of the 10 guys I'm playing with on the field and a lot of people look up to me to make plays and I look up to them to make plays. It is like family out there. It made a big difference because we created that bond in training camp that they can count on me when things get rough."
BruinBlitz.com: You go up against Tennessee and the offense put you guys in a hole at times, but you guys rallied and played a heck of a ball game. What did you have 2 tackles for loss?
Price: "Yeah I had two, and seven tackles total. We all did our job and stayed in the gap. I messed up a couple of times, but we did our thing and we came out with the win. Now that game is over with now we are getting focused on BYU, which is a tough team, so we are out here grinding and working hard. I mean these guys (BYU) are big grown men. We can't take them lightly."
