EAST LANSING - Michigan State offensive line coach Dan Roushar updated members of the media on the progress of his offensive line after practice on Thursday.

Roushar was asked questions about Cal's 3-4 defense and whether it gave Michigan State's rushing attack led by Javon Ringer an advantage. Roushar was diplomatic with his answer and complimentary of Cal's defense which inlcudes a strong linebacker corps.

The battle for left guard between Mike Bacon and Joel Foreman is still unsettled.

Foreman, a red-shirt freshman, has pushed Bacon since spring football.
