Dawgs offer talented in-state junior
Chad Simmons
UGASports.com Dawg Night is a night that hard hitting junior safety Alec Ogletree will remember for a long time. It was Georgia's first camp like this and they had a lot of talent on campus. One of the best of the group was Ogletree.
"I think I performed pretty good at the camp," said Ogletree. "I got a few jams in, I think I moved my feet real well, and I got a few interceptions. I am pretty happy with my performance."
He may be pretty happy with his play at Dawg Night, but he is a little happier about the news that came at the end of the camp.
"Georgia offered me after the camp and I was really surprised by that. Coach Richt offered me. He told I can come to Georgia if I want to and that they want me to be a Bulldog."
The Bulldogs offer is number two for the 6-foot-3, 212 pound junior out of Newnan (GA). Clemson offered him at their camp earlier in the summer as well.
Ogletree is not ready to name a leader, but Clemson and Georgia are currently at the top of his list. The visit to Athens showed him a lot about the UGA program and he liked what he saw.
