Dykes goes back to desert 'to win'
Former Mountaineer defensive lineman Keilen Dykes likened Sunday afternoon's NFL free-agent selection process to being recruited all over again from his Youngstown, Ohio, home.
"There were, like, 20 teams calling me all at once. I thought being recruited by the colleges was bad. That was nothing. They kept calling and I was trying to talk to my agent at the same time. The Jets kept telling me, 'We need a decision, we need a decision!' They kept calling, I was thinking 'Give me a minute, man'," Dykes said Tuesday.
After all, had the clubs wanted him that badly they could have drafted him in the NFL Draft's seven rounds.
