Ford talks about his commitment
In years past Oklahoma has had to work to convince the parents of numerous Texas prospects that heading North of the Red River was the right way to go. However, in the case of Oklahoma's most recent commitment, Abilene (Texas) Cooper safety Will Ford, it seems that it was the parents who were handing in the final sales pitch.
"I loved everything about Oklahoma, my dad had the biggest smile on his face when he went into the Barry Switzer center. Oklahoma had really, really nice facilities," Ford explained.
Upon returning home from his trip to Norman a few short weeks ago, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back announced that he was going to take a few more trips before he decided to make a decision. However, upon returning home Ford couldn't help but think he knew what he wanted to do and says after talking to his parents and coaches he saw no reason to make a decision.
