Jones goes in depth about his decision
Talented four-star defensive lineman Abry Jones made a surprising commitment to the University of Georgia recently and that news was reported first by UGASports Saturday. Jones was not available for an interview right away because of G-Day, but we have now caught up with the new Bulldog for an in depth interview about his decision.

Early in the interview, he let everyone know how it feels to be committed to UGA.
"It feels great and it feels like I have a home away from home," said Jones.
Florida offered Jones first and they took an early lead mid way through the fall of 2007. Georgia then offered in January of 2008 and the Dawgs got the 6-foot-3, 255-pound DL on campus shortly there after.
That visit ended up being key for the Bulldogs.
"Most things that really mean stuff to people is that first impression and Georgia made that good first impression that stuck with me through the whole recruiting process."
One of the first people to impress the Warner Robins native was Recruiting Coordinator/Interior Defensive Line coach Rodney Garner.
"Coach Garner was a big part of my decision because I talked to him a lot," admitted Jones.
"He expressed that anywhere I went, he just wanted me to be happy. It just sounded to me like he was there for me and that he really cared with what I did with my life."
Another thing that played into his decision was playing for the home state school.
"Living in the state of Georgia, you see that everyone is pretty much a Georgia fan. I know going to the University of Georgia, that even after my college career that I will be loved in the state of Georgia for becoming a Georgia Bulldog."
