Video: Barnett, Enos on player development
EAST LANSING - Michigan State assistant coaches Harlon Barnett and Dan Enos spent time after spring practice on Tuesday answering questions the development of their players in the secondary and backfield respectively.
Barnett has an experienced secondary with a group of cornerbacks that have all had significant playing time but need to advance in their ability to make plays with the ball in the air. Barnett believes that playmaking will be easier this year because his players will be focusing less on learning new techniques and more on making plays.
"The guys have great recall," said Barnett. "They have recalled a lot of the things we have taught them last year for the guys we have returning and even the young guys like Johnny Adams who just came in, he is picking it up pretty quickly. Everybody is having great recall and giving great effort, like always."
