Gordon Says Sooners made a big move
In last year's disappointing 48-28 loss to West Virginia Oklahoma's defensive team speed, for the first time in a long time, came under some question against the likes of Noel Devine, Pat White, and even Owen Schmitt. One player that could quickly remedy some of those questions of pure speed is Tulsa East Central cornerback David Gordon who arrived on campus without a Sooner offer.
However, he left in a much different shape.
"I went to Bobby Jack Wright's office, me and Gabe Lynn. He told us that he and coach Wright were offering us and then we went to coach Stoops's office and man it's nice," Gordon excitedly recalled. "He showed us his rings and let us put them on and hold them. Then he said he was offering both of us.
