Gordon thought he'd be starring in track
In this day and age of players focusing specifically on one sport from the time they are able to tie their own shoes it's always nice to find a prospect who excels on multiple playing fields. One such players is Tulsa East Central track and football star David Gordon. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback/wide receiver has already picked up an offer from Tulsa and is getting interest from around the country.
Schools like Oklahoma, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Kansas, and Kansas State are just a few among the schools already mailing him and Gordon is quite pleased to be getting any attention at all.
Gordon has made most of his name as a track star and says that it was on the track that he thought his collegiate future might be at until interest started flooding in for him.
"I just thank god that it has happened. I actually was a football player; my dad raised me to be a football player," Gordon explained. "I started tackling in fifth grade and running in seventh grade.
