Its business as usual for Kansas
For the first time in a long-time, the outcome of Wednesday's Sunflower Showdown is meaningful and extremely important to No. 2 ranked Kansas (20-0; 5-0) and Kansas State (14-4; 4-0). The Wildcats haven't defeated the Jayhawks in Manhattan since January of 1983, but they would love nothing more than to put an end to the infamous streak. While both KU and KSU continue to prepare for Wednesday's highly anticipated contest, there is absolutely not question that each is taking a different approach to the game.
Kansas State hasn't defeated Kansas in Manhattan since January of 1983. In fact, the Wildcats have never tasted defeated over the Jayhawks inside Bramlage Coliseum. However, according to freshman phenom Michael Beasley, the streak will end on Wednesday night.
