Hale talks UVa
Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway linebacker Shayne Hale (6-foot-3, 235 pounds, 4.5 seconds) is one of the top defensive players in the nation.
Heading into his official visit to Virginia over the weekend, many felt that the team to beat for the four-star prospect's services was West Virginia.
The Cavaliers were one of the first schools to offer to Hale, and UVa was also the first official visit for the talented linebacker.
"It was phenomenal," said Hale late Sunday night. "I could go on forever about how much I enjoyed this experience."
For Hale, official visits will be used to determine where he feels he fits in best. It isn't just about the football program or the school, it is more about finding a place to call home.
"I must have said to Cameron Saddler, who was also visiting this weekend, that the players and coaches remind me of our staff and teammates at Gateway at least 10 times. I had a blast."
