Cotton excited about first offer
Mount Pleasant junior Jordan Cotton picked up his first scholarship offer last week from the Iowa Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Cotton, whose father Marshall played at Iowa in the mid 80's, was excited to receive the news.
A running back and cornerback at the high school level, Cotton is receiving interest from the Hawkeyes at wide receiver, which is where he lined up at their camp this past summer. The junior, who finished with 1,449 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns this season, thinks receiver will be his best position in college.
The Hawkeyes are not the only ones showing early interest, however, as Kansas, Wisconsin, Purdue, Vanderbilt, and Duke are also sending regular mail.
