Things changing for Telemaque
Long Beach (Calif.) Poly defensive back Vaughn Telemaque went from being a sleeper prospect last spring to awaking to five major scholarship offers this fall.
North Carolina came 2,500 miles to be the first to offer Telemaque a scholarship, but a school much closer to home became the latest to make "Mac" a marked man.
"The coaches called him earlier tonight and offered Vaughn a scholarship to USC," said Telemaque's father, Todd Toliver. "We kind of knew it was coming. We thought it might be toward the middle of the season, but with all of the letters and the calls, we knew USC was looking at him seriously. "
While the family had the feeling a scholarship offer would come, Vaughn didn't expect it tonight.
