Confidence is growing for Hetzer
Junior college tight end Tyson Hetzer is one of the few Nebraska commitments that most Husker fans have not gotten to know. In that few have been exposed to his background and his accomplishments this season, it is understandable.
HuskersIllustrated.com has checked in with the 6-foot-7, 265-pounder from Citrus College in California for the latest.
Citrus' offense has generally been balanced with 32 rushing first downs to 31 passing over those games. It should be pointed out that Citrus has shared the ball in their passing attack with 17 different players in their first four games receiving at least one pass and nine of them have caught two or more. Hetzer, their first-team tight end, is third on Citrus' pass receiving offense with six receptions and one touchdown.
Hetzer played his high school football in northern California and had a chance to play Division-I football, but elected to attend Shasta College in California on a basketball scholarship.
