Might Taylor play again in 2007?
After Jaycen Taylor sustained an apparent season-ending injury vs. Central Michigan on Saturday, the good news - if there was any - was that he still was eligible to redshirt and salvage a year's worth of eligibility.
Indeed, the good news was that he could redshirt; whether he will may not yet be a slam dunk.
The junior running back had surgery Monday morning to repair his broken wrist. Coach Joe Tiller said Tuesday the procedure was a success and said Taylor's estimated recovery time would be six weeks, not the whole season.
Should that hold true, it would theoretically allow the Boilermakers' starting back to return in time for the final three games of the regular season, plus a bowl game, should Purdue qualify for one.
