Field General: John David Booty (6-2, 210), an All-America candidate, threw for 3,347 yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 61.9 percent of his passes and earning All-Pac 10 honors in 2006, his first year as a starter. The fifth-year senior completed 21-of-32 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns in the Trojans' 38-10 win over Idaho in the season opener. Mark Sanchez (6-3, 225) is expected to see ample playing time in 2007 as the Trojans groom the sophomore to be their starter after Booty exhausts his eligibility.
