Amendola, Garcia talk captains

Though there were some chemistry issues on last year's team, one area where there was no concern was the choice of captains. Boasting three current NFL'ers, the quartet of Manny Ramirez, Joel Filani, Keyunta Dawson, and Brock Stratton had the utmost respect of both their teammates and their coaches. However, with all four captains graduating last year, the need for new captains seemed as pressing as ever.

The team chose three seniors and only one junior, QB Graham Harrell, to represent the team as a whole. Senior WR Danny Amendola, the only senior starter on offense, will join Harrell as the offensive captains, while LB Paul Williams and CB Chris Parker will represent the defense.

One notable exception was senior safety Joe Garcia, who has been mentioned by just about every player on the roster as one of the team's most vocal and influential leaders. However, as it turns out, perhaps it had more to do with Garcia's love for his teammates than anything else.
