Camp Q&A: Justin Houston
Freshman Justin Houston signed with the Bulldogs as a defensive end last February, but earlier this month, on the day before the start of fall camp, he was told by the coaches that he would be playing linebacker for Georgia.
UGASports caught up with Houston after practice and here is what he had to say
How has the transition from defensive end to linebacker gone for you?
"It is going pretty good. I am starting to really get the hang of it and learning the plays."
At the beginning of camp, was the move more about the amount of depth in front of you at defensive end as opposed to perhaps and early shot at playing time at linebacker?
"I think that it was a great move for me because of my speed, my size, and the talents that I have."
When did you find out you were going to play linebacker?
"The day before camp started. It was kind of surprising, but the whole team was telling me that I should move to linebacker because of my speed."
