Fall camp notebook
Alabama's defensive line will be without nose guard Brian Motley for the time being while he recovers from a broken bone in his hand.
Head coach Nick Saban said the worst-case scenario for Motley would be minor surgery that would keep him out from five to seven days.
"I don't think it's a serious injury - he was at the doctor this morning," Saban said. "They may have to do surgery, but it should be five to seven days even if they do something like that."
In Motley's absence, the Crimson Tide's already-thin defensive front will rotate Lorenzo Washington, Josh Chapman and Alfred McCullough on the nose position.
