Scope shows more about Monk's knee
Arkansas had a good practice Monday in its first day back to the field since Saturday's practice, but there was some concerning news about split end Marcus Monk.
Trainer Dean Weber spoke to the members of the media following practice to give an update on Monk. Monk injured his right knee last Thursday, and the MRI revealed a bone bruise. The arthroscopy showed more on Monday. Arkansas coach Houston Nutt is thankful there is not ligament damage, though the injury is worse than initially thought.
"Marcus Monk underwent an arthroscopy on his right knee today to repair a small tear in the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus," Weber said. "In addition, he had an articular cartilage fracture of the lateral femoral condyle.
