Purdue hosts Florida linebacker
College football coaches usually are able to get out of town for a few days with their families in July, the month before fall camp kicks off.
But there were coaches still around the campus at Purdue on Monday, however, as the Boilermakers hosted one of their top linebacker prospects for a visit.
Leesburg (Fla.) linebacker Danny Trevathan was on his own vacation this past week, visiting family in Ohio. He took the opportunity to travel with his aunt, uncle and a family friend over to Purdue to check out what the Boilermakers had to offer.
The Boilermakers are one of a handful of teams to offer Trevathan. Others include Arkansas, Buffalo, Ole Miss, Indiana and Auburn. Miami also has been trying to get in contact, according to Trevathan, but has had trouble recently because he switched cell phones. West Lafayette was the first college campus he has had a chance to visit in the recruiting process, however.
