While Illinois kicker Jason Reda improved last season, the punting and kicking game at Illinois the past few years has been a bit of a joyride.

The Illini coaches are scanning the country for a top notch kicker this class, and might have found one in 5-foot-11, 195 pound Mooresville (Ind.) standout Trent Mossbrucker, who also plays quarterback and free safety for his team, received good news from an Illini assistant coach a little over a week ago.

While the offer from Illinois remains a verbal one until the paperwork comes in, Iowa and Indiana have officially offered Mossbrucker already.
