Fleming takes another ND trip
On Darius Fleming's first visit to Notre Dame, the defensive end joined more than 30 junior prospects on campus for a recruiting weekend. This time, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound athlete received a little more personal attention, and not just from the Irish coaching staff.
The standout at St. Rita High School in Chicago, Ill., attended Notre Dame's spring practice on Saturday afternoon alongside Irish commitment Braxston Cave. Fleming wound up staying with Cave on Saturday night after getting a closer look at Notre Dame's new defensive scheme during the two-hour workout.
Notre Dame is recruiting Fleming to play outside linebacker.
"I could see myself in the scheme, I could see myself playing my position," Fleming said.
