Spring Notebook: Tide off to strong start
The first day of spring practice at Alabama under new head coach Nick Saban revealed very little about what the Crimson Tide will look like on gameday, but it did reveal some important details about how Saban and his staff intend to run things at the Capstone.
Saban put an emphasis on conditioning and endurance during the Tide's first spring practice session, as maintaining an intense pace is something he believes will be crucial for the Tide down the road.
"We weren't able to sustain our intensity today," Saban said. "It was a warm day and our first day with helmets on, which is always a little different. I don't care what you do in the off-season program, it's always a little different."
