Kansas, Kentucky set to battle
Kansas, the top seed in the West Region, advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament by defeating 16 seed Niagara on Friday night. After back-to-back first round losses, Bill Self's squad dominated the Purple Eagles from start-to-finish and cruised to a 107-67 victory. Up next for Kansas is a match up against the No. 9 seed Kentucky Wildcats. This is a highly anticipated match up between two of college basketballs most winningest programs, which is scheduled to tip-off at 4:00 CST.
As a team, Kansas could do nothing wrong against Niagara. The Jayhawks connected on 54 percent of their field goals, 59 percent of their shots from behind the arc, 53 percent of their free-throws and, most importantly, out rebounded the Purple Eagles, 50-43.
