Palmetto State showdown for Davis

GamecockCentral.com Newberry (S.C.) defensive lineman Kentrell Davis has two early offers to his credit and it could very well be a Palmetto State showdown for his commitment.
"USC and Clemson have offered me," the 6-foot-4, 295-pound Davis said. "I also like Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida."
Davis, who bench presses 350 pounds, believes big things are on the horizon for the Gamecocks.
"They have great coaches at USC now with Steve Spurrier and all of his coaches," Davis said. "They are a well-coached team now, and they're starting to get the talent they need to take it to the next level. I'm going to their junior day this weekend."
