Nall must rebuild the offensive line
Hugh Nall is certainly not afraid of a challenge.
But Auburn's offensive line coach will be facing perhaps his toughest test next week when he begins spring practice with just one returning starter in senior left tackle King Dunlap.
"There's no doubt it's going to be interesting," said Nall. "There's a lot of unknown out there. If there is a known it would be the left tackle position with King coming back. I think he should be better.
"But still, with spring practice, you go in with all positions open."
While finding four new starters will be a priority this spring, so will establishing a more physical presence across the offensive front, something last year's unit seemed to lack at times.
"I was a little disappointed with some things last year, not just in the pass protection but also in the run game," said Nall. "We've got to be consistently physical whether it's pass protection or run blocking. I was disappointed we didn't dominate more and in the two games we lost, I would have liked to see us be tougher and come in and help take those games back over."
