CB, Eric Jones commits to Army
Stan Brock and staff continue to do a job that is foreign to many Division I coaches, and by all accounts, have done it well. They have to double-duty recruit (I just made up that). If you follow Army football, you know that players that commit to play for the Black Knights enter West Point in one of two ways.
Direct (West Point) or prep school (USMAPS).
Contrary to what some may believe or even hope exist, the USMAPS is not a tool that is used to redshirt a recruit, but the sole purpose of the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS) is to prepare selected candidates for admission and success to the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Well, the class of 2006 was solid, with players like Mike Weich, Cody Buck, Pat Mealy and others prepared to make there mark with at West Point, but don't be alarmed, the cupboard is not bare. This year's class is no different and especially on the defensive side of the ball.
