All set with three?
The Nebraska coaching staff seemed to be all set with defensive end commitments as early as October, but then a few wheels came off of the commitment wagon. HuskersIllustrated.com had projected the need of three D-ends, so how does it look as of now? Has that goal been officially met or not?
It looked good when Patrick Grant from Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson made it official soon after his visit to NU on Oct. 20. His commitment came over four months after in-state prospect, Jared Crick, made it official. In October things were looking quite good, as we expected Joseph Townsend to end up announcing for the Huskers and Jared Glover had decided that the Huskers were his team.
Recruiting is always filled with peaks and valleys and October was a definite peak. Three (the targeted need figure) had been met with Townsend looking like an almost certainty, too. Although all three of the commits were rated by Rivals.com with three-stars, they all brought some outstanding stats to the table.
