Minnesota makes late push for Williams
The new coaching staff at Minnesota had little time to waste if they were going to go out and land more players before signing day. One of the areas they have hit the hardest is New Orleans and it might just pay off with Edna Karr linebacker Korey Williams. Williams is not locked in to a visit yet, but according to his head coach, the Gophers are doing all they can to secure his services.
Edna Karr head coach Jabbar Juluke said that Minnesota has come in very hard after his star linebacker. They have not secured a visit yet, but they will be at Williams home on Wednesday night to try and convince him to make the trip north.
Prior to Minnesota entering the picture Williams was down to Southern Miss and Purdue.
