Harris: 'I'm done'
Last week was pretty eventful for Texas Longhorn fans, with Mack Brown and staff reeling in two unexpected commitments from players that only recently showed up on the Texas recruiting radar. This weekend, those two prospects - wide receiver James Kirkendoll and tight end Ian Harris - were both in Austin on their official visits, and Harris said Texas made a strong impression.
We caught up with the San Antonio Churchill product for a Q&A.
On what stood out about the visit:
Pretty much, the thing I took the most out of was getting to speak with coach Brown one on one and coach Chambers, sitting down to eat and meeting with their families, hearing what they have in store for me and what they see me doing. That was cool. I had a chance to meet with coach Chambers a while back in the junior days, but not on a one on one basis. Getting a chance to know him a little bit more and coach Brown a little more was great. They're both really nice guys, along with the rest of the coaching staff.
