Spano making waves at Stephenville
It can be argued that no one in the state of Texas produces Division-I quarterbacks like Stephenville High School.
Beginning with current University of Houston head coach Art Briles in the 1990s, and talent such as Brandon Stewart (Texas A&M), Kevin Kolb and most recently 2005 blue chipper Jevan Snead, Stephenville signal callers pile up big numbers that attract the attention of Division I schools across the country.
Snead's successor at the position is Kody Spano, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior to be who stepped right in and, like his predecessors, didn't miss a beat. Spano threw for nearly 3,000 yards and approximately 30 touchdowns last season, numbers that already have recruiters knocking at his door.
