Tigers say PAC-10 rep is unfair
The Big 12 is a power football conference. The PAC-10 plays finesse ball. Fair or not, these are reputations that have been handed out over decades. But for what it's worth, the Missouri Tigers think their opponent in the Sun Bowl bucks the reputation of its league.
The Oregon State Beavers held opponents to just 103 yards per game on the ground and 3.3 yards per rush. Not necessarily the numbers of a finesse team.
"I look at Oregon State, they got a very sound defense, they're good at what they do," said Tiger offensive tackle Tyler Luellen.
"They led the PAC 10 in sacks. They're going to be a very physical team. Never playing a PAC 10 school I don't know right now, but just from what I see, they look like a very physical conference."
