Stephenson has set visit to NU
Blue Springs (Mo.) offensive tackle Donald Stephenson has maintained all along that he'd wait until his senior season came to an end before he devoted much time to recruiting. This time, it seems, he wanted to feel good about his decision. Well, that time is now upon him after his team fell for the second time this season to their rival, and eventual state champion, Blue Springs South 28-24.
"They got lucky," the 6-foot-4, 282-pound Stephenson said. "They scored on a Hail Mary before we got the ball back with about three minutes to go. After they scored and we got it back, we drove all the way down to their 30 and had to stop passing because it started to snow. When that happened, they loaded up on the run by stacking nine in the box, stuffed us and we lost in a close game. It was really disappointing because everybody around here knew the winner of that game would win the state championship, and that's what happened."
