It was only a matter of time before Auburn (Ala.) High junior DB Dee Finley received his first scholarship offer.

That time came midway through the season.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder had been receiving letters of interest from some of the South's top schools, and still is, but the Louisville Cardinals stepped up with the first offer.

"Louisville offered me. I got a letter in the mail and it said they were offering me a full scholarship as long as I made good on my ACT," said Finley. "It surprised me a lot.

"I'm still excited about it, and my grandma is excited, really excited."
