Player of the Game
Benny Valentine did all he could to spark some life into the Raider attack tonight, hitting layups, jumpers, and three pointers to lead Tech in scoring with 17 points. Valentine is definitely a high-energy player and Texas Tech will need that to be successful this season.

Key Moment

This game was full of key moments - all of them for Marquette and all of them in the form of a layup. Including dunks here, I have the Golden Eagles down for 18 layups for the game.

Unsung Hero

Can the Player of the Game be the Unsung Hero? I'm going to say no this time, so in that case there is no unsung hero tonight for the Raiders.
