A possible answer at linebacker
Based on the way Michigan has recruited the linebacker position this fall, there appears to be an increased sense of urgency to land a few quality prospects either to help next fall or lend depth for the future. One answer may come from a school the Wolverines have recruited throughout this class and from a player who looked to be headed elsewhere at the beginning of the season.
Sugarland (Tex.) Fort Bend Dulles High has already produced cornerback Troy Woolfolk for the Wolverines in the class of 2007, now it looks fully possible it could send 6-2, 205-pound linebacker Brandon Herron to Ann Arbor as well.
This past season, Herron was hampered by hamstring injuries, but still managed six sacks from the defensive end position. Rivals.com ranks him as the No. 22 outside linebacker and the No. 38 prospect from the state of Texas.
