After seeing its four game winning streak snapped by UCLA last weekend, the Oregon State football looks to get back on track this Saturday when it takes on Stanford. At stake for the Beavers (6-4 overall, 4-3 Pac-10) is bowl eligibility.
"We can't hide it," said OSU coach Mike Riley about his team's chance to become bowl eligible. "It's right there within our reach and we have three weeks to do it."
More importantly, the Beavers will be looking to improve on their performance against the Bruins. They turned the ball over four times all on fumbles and quarterback Matt Moore was sacked five times.
"We have to get better this week," Riley said. "We've got to have a great week of practice. We've got to focus on both preparation for Stanford and working on getting better individually, and as a group, it's just got to be a very focused detailed week. All of our focus has got to be on this game."
Added offensive guard Roy Schuening, "That last game is over and done with. We have a good opportunity to become bowl eligible this Saturday. So we need to take advantage of it and come out and practice hard, step up the enthusiasm and really be ready to play."
