Bowl hopes fly south for winter
Would the headline read "Revenge of the Nerds," or "Who let the Dawgs out?"
As it turned out, trying to predict just what would happen at Saturday's football tilt between Washington's Huskies and the Stanford Cardinal, was about as easy as predicting the weather. In other words, good luck!
For a moment, with 44 minutes before kick off, the clouds parted and the sun poked out to warm the few already at Husky stadium - for about 30 seconds. Rain, cold, windy and other foul weather adjectives had been used in predictions for the game time conditions, and who knows - that may have helped, but in the end, it never rained all day.
